Mastodon is a Free Open Source Software project for a federated social network system. Mastodon servers are individually instanced and talk to other servers using the ActivityPub protocol. Users on one instance can see popular content and posts from people they follow on other instances.
Mastodon v4 (docker version) is running proxied through nginx.
